When nine people are shot dead in Munich in 2016, the narrative is quickly established. It is hastily cemented with a memorial: A killing spree by an individual, not a racist attack. The inscription becomes an indication and an object of controversy - the grief of the bereaved is combined with anger: "Why is it so difficult to tell the truth?"
Einzeltäter Teil 2: Halle
In 2019, a right-wing extremist murdered two people in Halle. One of them is Kevin. While the public follows the trial of the murderer, Kevin's father searches for words. Pain collects in the smoke of his cigarette. Only Halle FC penetrates the vacuum left by the loss. Red and white forever alone.
Einzeltäter Teil 3: Hanau
Der Wagen des Attentäters parkt noch draußen vor dem Haus. Drinnen ein Vater, der nicht mit seinem Sohn, sondern mit den Hinterbliebenen hadert. Sechs der neun Opfer starben 2020 in Hanau-Kesselstadt. Das Viertel eint die Empörung über das Versagen der Behörden und der Trotz: „Wenn wir wegziehen, geben wir dem Mörder, was er haben will.“
